Dan Busse posted a pic of the new CG Scrapivores coming out soon, over at Scrap Yard. They are a great addition piggybacked to a larger Busse knife!;)

Thank You:cool::thumbup:

I wonder when they'll be available?

CG is what I've been waiting for!

Did you do anything special to prevent rusting? How is it holding up?

It is turning dark on the exposed prybar area. The rest is cord-wrapped or in the sheath. I have sweated profusely on it with no maintenance since I began carrying it a few weeks ago.

No real rust, but I don't know what the summer will bring. I may soak the cord in Boesheild, my favorite rust preventative, if I get concerned.

It is worth it to me to have the beautiful edge retention of the 62-64 Rockwell SR101.

I may have to try some Boesheild... I haven't heard of it before. Thanks for the info.

I scored 2 of the LE's but didn't know they were that high of a RC. Wish I would have bought five. Do you know the RC for the CG model?

EDIT TO ADD: My strong GOOGLE-FU tells me that the RC on the CG will be standard hardness for sr101...

Thanks

I think the CG was going to be 60-61RC. You can find Boeshield at Brownell's online. Don't get the spray bottle, the wax in it clogs the sprayer. Go with the dropper-style bottle. I use it on all my carry guns and knives, because I carry lots of stuff, and sweat a lot, and live in Tulsa, OK.

I have 2 of the LE's left out of 5, because a few friends wanted them too!

Yes we are still in the Busse forum..........and I like my LE Scrapivore. Saying that, I will be more happy with a CG for the protection once the summer hits.

Cool :thumbup:

I might have to pick up my first Scrapyard soon
