just got my scrapivore in the mail and idk if i am just spoiled one my spyderco m4 gayle bradley or with my case trapper that stays stays sharp enough to cut your shadow in two but i am not impressed with the edge.

its pointy but does not slice paper and it basically tears instead of cut.

the mashed cat bundle sheath is awesome and it holds the knife very securely.

carry in pocket with paracord tether is so light that it disappears on your person.

the knife in hand has 2 flaws to me. The choil could of been bigger and the point of the prybar kinda pokes into my hand. but these things are not deal breakers just things i might improve later.

over all great job scrapyard, i like it alot but mike couldve done a better job sharpening. i tried to work up a burr but its late and my heart just isnt in to it right now.

when i get it sharp it will be carried in sheath in my pocket with the sheath tied to my belt/loop.

As some1 who has just carried large fixed blades and then folders for edc i was surprised at how light, and well it carried. It hasnt replaced my folders but will certainly net some pocket time. plus i like the friendly orange color

Thanks for the review. I considered buying one yesterday and thought the combo was a good deal. Bummer it's not sharp.

Mine came pretty dull, I am keeping one in factory condition. The other one went into the shop and had some quality time with the 1by30 belt sander. I had to "dehorn" the back edge of the prybar handle ,just lightly rounded the top off the butt end and it made a huge difference.

I just got an orange Scrapivore in myself a couple days ago... and no, it isn't hair popping sharp by any means. This weekend I'll have time to sharpen it a little better but for the most part, I like it. I just have it hanging around my neck with some 550. It would've been nice to get a "new" knife in that was as sharp as my other knives...but it is what it is. What was surprising to me, is that it doesn't come with the (for lack of a better term) "stippled" finish like what I saw the other colors come in, but a glossy paint finish. I'm happy with it but as mentioned...it isn't sharp.
