Picked up this dirty ole Scrappy with a great AZWelke kydex for $200 (yep you read that right — I about fell out of my chair when I saw it for $200!). On exposed surfaces she had what appeared to be rust that had been left to accumulate unchecked. After minimal work (Citristrip, a quick pass of 180 grit on an orbital sander (it’s all I had), and 10 minutes on the paper wheels, and this thing went from this:

Sexy, and screaming sharp. She’s not perfect, but she’ll do just fine. Just need to wrap the handles, maybe hit it with some finer grit sanding, and she’s all set. After I acquired an abused Dogfather (my first blade in SR77) and gave it the same treatment, it became a favorite. I think this is now a favorite too.

P.S. — I’m starting an animal shelter. sell me your heavily abused Busse, Swamprat, or SYKCO for cheap, and I’ll care for the poor hog, rat, or dog. I’ll primp the little beast and give it some things to gnaw on. It’ll be happy with me, I promise.

Brain numbed by 12 hr day working, 6 pack of beer and half a bottle of Scotch...
I see the Scrapi... brain fils the rest - vore...
Then I see the $200 price tag... brain chimes in 'an idiot’...
I click on the link for pics... and go into a full blown argument with my own brain... (I guess it’s going to take the other half of the Scotch bottle to numb the pain of that exercise...)

That turned out brilliant!

I wish I had that Scrapizashi to get this one fly that’s annoying the crap out of me now!
I’d probably hate myself in the morning for all the slash marks I’d have to repair if I had it...

Very nice work!

Also, good luck with your shelter. I’d send you some new rescues, but they’re enjoying the abuse.
