I love the 460. Mudder handle sounds great. SR-10 again? Sure. Or how about some new Jerry-Voodoo magic heat treated 3V to get INFI-toughness but much more edge retention?
Great steels but in this case Elmax by definition, i.e. ScrapMAX, thin, tough and stainless. And in house @ Bussekin HQ. Easily sourced, easily produced, and MAN! What a performer in a compact, lightweight, ergonomic package!
I love the wardog handle on my bowie scrapmax 460.
Not a fan of the mudder handles but they must be popular for a reason.
I hope to find a wardog someday.
Sounds like you and Jerry see eye-to-eye on the War Dog handle, as he’s made fewer mudder knives in the past couple years. Or maybe it’s Dan. I always preferred the mudder grips—apparently I’m in the minority. Dunno.
