Scrapyard 911 waiting time?

Recently I went over to the scrapyard site and couldn't resist the temptation, so I placed an order for a 911. After some impatient waiting, I decided to send an inquiring email. I was told that the 911 ships between 4 to 16 weeks after placing the order.

Why would that be? I thought that if it's advertised there, it would be in stock. I don't remember waiting that long for my 511. Is this normal procedure? or are they just flying off the shelves and supply is limited?

Been waiting a month now...it's killing me...

Im relatively new to the Bussekin world but I THINK, they put the models out a little early to gauge how many to produce then it takes a a couple months for them to start shipping orders. You probably received your 5-11 fast because you ordered after they were ready to ship. I am waiting till after people start getting their 911's till I will order, I just hope this method doesn't bite me in the arse. Like you it drives me bananas when I have to wait soo long for a knife I have been saving for already for quite some time.
 
hmm that does make sense. Does nothing to get rid of the itch lol :D so, you are telling me no one has a 911 in hand yet?
 
To my knowledge the 911s have not begun to ship yet. I ordered mine on day 1 and I am still waiting.
 
I ordered mine day one also & I have not got mine yet, I am watching the mailman :)
 
Another here that ordered about 10mins after they appeared as open for ordering... ;) They normally have a pretty long lead in time for a new release, (the 311 may be the exception) and I guess you ordered your 511 after they had been available for a little.
 
I bought Basic 9 because all these waiting times making me crazy. When I get my 911 I will post pictures to see how similar the to are. In the mean time the B9 should hold me over.
I feel you on the waiting game. I think it will be worth the wait. Especially guys like me who need to buy factory direct because the market markups are to crazy! I cant aford it!
 
i have orders in for both the Rodent 6 and the Team Gemini LB. No idea when they'll ship.

Actually, the anticipation makes me want them even more!

I think the bossman likes to see us show a level of self control, you know, prove we're worthy ;-)
