Hi, I picked up a scrapyard dagger on the exchange a few days ago in tanker grey. Pretty sweet little knife. My problem is that once my daughter saw it she wants one for her lbv, mine to be exact. So I'm wondering if scrapyard made one in jungle green? If so it would match her TGLB and save my tanker grey one for me.

thanks

They did make a Sage one kinda tan.

Sage, Tanker Gray & Black were the options if I remember right from Blade.
Sage is probably the best bet for a camo uniform of the three.

no jungle but personally I'm hoping Dan will throw some out there at some point.

Does Rit-dye bond with epoxy coatings? It does G-10 well enough, so my bet is you could get a decent green with the grey one.

get a green sheath :)

I'm just saying :)

Are these the daggers they were 'explaining' why the edges were dull and only the point was sharp? LOL. My $20 Cold Steel Hide Out had a sharp point and extremely sharp edges. No reason not to put a sharp edge on this dagger, unless, of course, you are trying to save money during the manufacturing of them.

Nice way to not address the issue. $40 knives don't have sharp edges from Scrapyard, that's ok with you. Not ok with me. There were SIX pages applauding this on the Scrapyard blog, I find the cult ludicrous. No reason a $20 dagger can be sharpened all around and a $40 one can't be. But go ahead, make fun of me and keep drinking your Kool-aid.

Well the ones I have came sharp. No idea what your talking about. I ended up giving the daughter the tanker grey and making a green kydex sheath for her. She's been carrying it in the field for the last few months.

Well regardless of what they posted, the daggers all came with decent edges. Not razor sharp but certainly cut paper sharp and I still remember how to work a sharpening stone. The daughters is razor sharp she uses it in the field quite a bit its small and easy to carry. She gets more use out of that and a folder than her busse team gemini, she keeps that on her emergency pack in the car right now.

Did you buy one and have trouble sharpening up the edge to your satisfaction or do you not have one and are just offended at the whole idea?

This issue is you pulling up a thread from October of 2012 to make some point about a problem with a blade you don't seem to own. I don't drink anybody's koolaid, but I have enough respect not to crap in it either.

GECATL...Good. I'm not crapping either. I'm quoting Scrapyard Lovers talking about their own product. Imagine Strider or Emerson fans praising the fact that their edges weren't sharp. I don't like to buy knives that come less than well done. Buying a knife like that would be a foolish waste of money, now, wouldn't it.

CRICKETDAVE.... well, great, then that is good to know. I'm glad they come with decent edges, I like the design, but hearing they didn't sharpen the side edges turned me off to them. Glad to know that is not the case. Thanks for enlightening me.

Damndave......Why are you on the Busse Forum quoting "Scrapyard Lovers"?....... and I didn't see any quotes attributed to anyone in particular. And on a side note............PM me and I'll give you the address where you can buy the "COLD STEEL HIDE OUT" MSRP $31.99 for $18.99..........maybe you can get a refund............after all..... the loss of $1.01 would be a foolish waste of money.

Cricketdave.......sorry, to sidetrack your thread from 2012. I picked up a Red Hot Diggity Dog Dagger in Cupidganzaaa 2013 and very happy with the blade (sharp) and "VALUE". Hope you and your daughter are enjoying yours. Best regards.

So do you think that if Emerson or Strider made a dagger that was meant for piercing, not slicing, that their fans wouldn't get why the edges aren't shaving sharp. Not every knife design needs to be air bleeding sharp to get the job done.

To each their own. Oh, and Gkitty, I only mind paying more when it's for a subpar finish. I don't mind paying more for a sharp Cold Steel.
