Scrapyard Website is Down?

Has been down at least since the end of July?

It's more of a wish than a guess but I'm hoping it will return as the branch that offers blades from the other two branches but with res handles.

More scrapyard blades would be most welcome for me. I've really liked all I've had my hands on and the performance : cost is unreal.

When I first got into Busse and kin, I didn't think I would like res C. I was waaaaay wrong.

Makes you wonder if the SYKCO brand as we have known it is dead and buried and all new releases will fall under the Busse brand, with Battle Grade being the differentiation rather than a separate label. A shame if that's the case.

Since they brought out SR-101 knives under the Busse label and Swamp Rat already has them, they should make Scrap Yard INFI with Res-C or the OP2W offerings with Res-C to reboot it up. Idk, something like that. I'm sure Jerry already has plans but is just overwhelmed with OP2W

BB13 is probably the best bet for something in that size with res-C and Infi.

I doubt they are dead, many of the OP2W offerings have been scrapyard knives. I do think it is possible for them to be absorbed back into the other Busse shops. There was a very long dry spell from them the last few years not much has been offered. Before Dan's reply was a lack of scrap steel available and maybe this trend has continued. Hopefully they can get back up and running, but it might just make more sense for them to use that shop for OP2W knives instead of their own brand. Of course this is all just speculation without any official word on it yet.

I just went and looked and the Regulator and Trash 2 were both sold through the busse combat website. The last thing through the scrapyard site was the Chophouse and Skinner.

Hey,, Ive been looking for that picture forever!!
It was one of the first pics I saw of Busse/kin when I googled something like "toughest fixed blade".
I saw the pic of the beer, and thought "I gotta hang with this crowd".

Maybe under "the new old business model" there can be only one brand at the end... just Busse, like in the old days. Then Swamp Rat & Scrap Yard may become just random offers like Terror Monkey. It is after all is said & done just an etched logo on the same steel as a BG.
