Scratch Margarits at the Brown house!

Its easy. Use a Reposado or silver grade tequila. two shots. One and thre quarters shot of Quantro and the juice of 3 limes in a tumbler of ice. Shake and pour into a salt rimmed large Martini glass.....heaven! Do not use Triple Sec....use Quantro...its spendy but worth it. You can add a little sugar to the mix but I like mine more on the tart side.

Im am hammered.........

That's what I should have been drinkin'!!

Err what is Quantro? I used my all-mighty google powers and the only thing I came up with was Cointreau. Is that the same thing?

Jerry are you reading this? Gotta have a gallon of this for the next Long Ash contest!!!!

Chuck, I grew up in the Southwest.

If we bring a gallon of THIS to the next contest ... none of us will stay on our feet long enough for the contest to end.

Oh man, I should have the biggest hangover today! Yes, these are potent. Cant wait until next time!

Cointreau = Orange Liqueur

Or Grand Marnier

Both are much better than triple sec. The smaller limes that are the size of ping pong balls are better too. I think those are Florida Key Limes.

Or use this stuff if you don't want to squeeze limes.

AkaDave2 has a recipe that will separate the men from the boys and the brains from the body.

I don't know for sure which is sweeter. I think I would prefer Cointreau, and I like it better on the rocks, and has purer flavor. Both have good flavor, and GM is made from Cognac. I've had good margaritas with both.

We had dinner tonite in a what is supposed to be a better-than-average Mexican restaurant that claims to be the best in their Tequila and Margarita selection. Every one on the menu used sour mix. :confused: I even asked if they could make any with fresh juice, and was told no. :thumbdn: :grumpy:
