HOGS---I can live with a scratches, but I had a good one on my PD. I used a flat piece of wood, like a tongue suppressor, loaded with white buffing compound and rubbed out the scratch! Then wiped the blade with a clean cloth.
Just thought I'd share.

KD---Thanks...I tried Flitz first...nada!
This worked. I did this to my Emerson too.

Thanks for sharing.
Looks like cloth and leather are too soft for this task.

The wood and the compound did most of the work.
Ham--- I could never get up-close pix like that.
It worked...HOG'S Honor.

I scratched the daylights out of one of my SFNO LE's.... and I knew I'd never be able to refinish the satin surface perfectly by hand so ,,,,,,,,,, took the entire blade to mirror with lotsa elbow grease and increasing grits of sandpaper from 600 up to 2000 ........... if a stick and compound worked for you Lycosa  ....... I'm happy with what I did .
