Scratching noise.

Hello guys.
Im new here and after read a lot I decided make my own sharperning jig.
It works, it really works but a scratching noise between steel joint ball and steel rod are killing me. Oil, wd40, nothing look fix it. My sharpener is apex style. I don't know how to inset photo here. Anyone could help me with the noise when rod is scraping? Thanks.

Hi,
So the noise is from the rod going in/out of a hole?
Get a plastic washer or tape up the hole?

If metal on metal grates, use metal on plastic.
washer/spacer that fits in the hole you're using,
and into which the rod can also fit,

Maybe use plastic bottlecap or mustard bottle plastic (slippery) attached to the hole
