Hello everyone... Its slippery slope :)

I had itch for a congress, toothopick or #53 from GEC. I scratched the itch getting one of my all time favourite knife yet: GEC Northfield bloodred saber ground toothpick... This itch is going to cost me quite bit... :p

... Today I ordered GEC Northfield 4 blade Congress in blood red bone with 2 wharncliffe blades and 2 pen blades...

... Dan this slop is steep and slippery... I am not really complaining, my wallet does that. Thanks to trades I ought to get before Christmas: Hen & Rooster gunstock stockman, 2x nice Case full sized acryclic trappers... + BF 2010 Forum knife and GEC congress... and... well... Something else nice... Maybe one more Canoe :p That last one wasn't hardly a surprise as people have little bit started to know me... and my.. preferences :D I just wish GEC would make Canoe pattern!! A nice one with Ebone handles and some really pretty acrylic (black pear looking glass and green velvet acrylic look nice)

Best part of it, most knives I so I didn't need to put new money at all on them... *sighs* yes and pictures will be here when I receive the knife. I am feeling like little kid at Christmas... :D Well I am and Christmas is soon. More slippies thank you :D

And to me fellow forumites, when you see me pass next you on this slippery slope, remember to wave ;)

Fortunately for me, I lost my part-time job, and had to get off the slopes. :(

You have my condolences for that. My part time job ends in Decemeber. Then to the unemployment line or getting temporary job our towns Foundry. Sure, I read business management so I can be iron hand for rest of my life :D . That's why I get my last knives this year and focus next year on using them and learning properly how to sharpen free hand. But for now. GEC Congress, I am like little kid (mentally I probably am) at christmas. I know Congress is usually hate or love pattern and is not most popular patterns in here. However I was drawn to it. Heck if it was good enough for Abraham Linconln, its good enough for me.

Jani, at least it's knives and not drugs man. I have some knives I would never have contemplated trading, that are making their way for slipjoints. I think I've bought all the old slipjoints at all of the local fleamarkets and antique shops in southern central PA and central MD.

As for canoes, I literally lusted after one from Queen, with red bone scales. I had gotten a Case CV canoe earlier, and the Case was much better. I'd love to see a canoe from GEC.

Of all the congresses I have, this is the one I ordered specifically to EDC. Probably the one I carry most often. It was a 2010 so I didn't have to put in the the 2009 Congress collection :)
