I got a Benchmade 940 osborne and I love it. I decided to take most of the knife apart and see how it works:thumbdn:. I managed to actualy put it back together. however I noticed that now the spring piece to the axis lock(one on the oppisite of the pivot side) was under the liner and causing te line to bend up and restrict blade movement. I try to get the screw under the pocket clip to release the liner so I could fix the spring. However for some reason this screw isn't normal. I tried t5 t6 and t7. t6 fit all the other screws but I think this screw was just worn down. What fits in this screw?(the screw on the left hand side under where the pocket clip would go).(sorry I didn't get the pictures bigger).

Borrow a screw removal kit if you can, order a new screw from BM.

Are you saying that you somehow messed up putting your omega springs back?

Be more careful in the future, stripping screws that small is very easy.

My dad had an idea to GENTLY reverse drill it out. Using a measure card the screw is a size 2 so I think I'll just find a size 2 screw to replace it. Substandard but I would like the blade back together.

I recommend waiting for the OEM screw, just in case your replacement is a different thread size. I do not know for sure, but you may in haste cause more problems. I am sure BM will get you a replacement screw. I have not felt the need to take apart my axis lock BM's. They work fine if you leave them alone. Just a little armchair quarterbackin. LOL

Yea I won't be taking apart any knives for quite awhile now.
