Screw reversal

Do most of you all switch the screws around on your sebenza's?
I see alot of different posts on various sites that say something on the lines of
"the first thing you need to do is reverse the screws on your new Sebenza,
this is a priority."

Personally I think the regular way looks better, just was curious to see
if I'm in the minority:)

i reverse them.

the new screws have allen heads on both sides, so makes reversal a non issue.

Do you know why they went to those? Any advantages to the allen hole on both sides?

I have the new ones in place now on my large Regular but still have the old ones...which do look better.

i suppose it makes assembly a bit easier, but i cant say with any certainty why they changed.

I have a large Sebenza with the older screws which I have not reversed. I like to keep my Sebs exactly how they came. My Small Sebenza has the newer screws so reversing is irrelevant.

I have a small 21 with the newer screws. Although both sides have holes for the allen key, they are not the same. The female ends go all the way through so you actually can hit the head of the male screw when you put them together. Reversing them still has a better matching effect with the pocket clip screw.

At the current time I only have classic's with a 21 on the way

I do turn them around because I think the polished side looks better on the main side of the knife and more so if it has inlay's or its a unique graphic's

Thats my story and Im sticken to it :D:D:D RICK :D:D:D

I have turned a few but a while back i started leaving them stock because when i would get a knife back from CRK they would always put them back to stock ....i know Chris is smarter than the average bear. :)

I have turned them around in the past, but after awhile, I realized I like the stock way Chris intended and switched them back. Now stock for me.

I'm a breakout guy, I flipped the screw on my Umnumzaan. :D

I'll be questing a Large Regular in a couple months, I'll probably keep the screws as-is though.

I can see why some of you choose to put the polished sides on the left so all the holes match with the clip, it gives a nice uniform look... but I prefer it the traditional way for some reason.
Probably because that's the way I was use to seeing sebenzas in pictures before I bought one.

I flipped the screw on my Umnum as well, I do the same to my Sebs also. I just prefer the look of all the bolt heads on the same side, it just looks cleaner IMO.

It's been pointed out before but I see now that the new Sebbies have keyed screws on both sides. Definitely a move backwards in my opinion.

I love them reversed and it's a job I do at the first opportunity with a new knife. I've done it on mine since someone here ordered me to do it a few years ago after I first joined :D

It just adds a real finished beauty to the front scale and I'll be disappointed to see that bit of class go.

Ah, well :grumpy:
