Does anybody know what the size is for the pocket clip screws on XM-18?
Would be much obliged.
Thank you

Have you contacted Hinderer knives? They may be able to give you the information and may be send you some replacements.

If not you can always measure them with a pair of calipers and pitch gage, if you have one of the screws.

Yes I contacted them and hopefully will hear back soon.
Will post here what I found out.
Meanwhile, if somebody has an answer, would appreciate that.
Unfortunately I do not own or have access to the right tools, so measuring myself is not a real option for me.

You can use the poorman's pitch gage. If you have a screw that you know the pitch, you can see if it matches the unknown screw. The threads should mesh together perfectly. Try it out with a 6-23 and an 8-32, see how the threads match up? Now try a 8-32 and a 10-24, they don't fit togehter very well.

If I don't have calipers handy, use an adjustable wrench a.k.a. Cresent wrench. Tighten the jaws of the wrench gently on the threads. Use a ruler or other suitable measuring device to measure the gap between the jaws to get the OD.

Rob Orlando from Hinderer knives responded:

"I will gladly mail you some replacement screws, no cost, just send me your address......If you wish to purchase them elsewhere, they are 2-56 x 1/8"

Truly exemplary customer service

That thread needs to be in bright red blinking letters...and should be mandatory reading for anyone owning a Hinderer knife....jus' sayin'.....
New owner of a Hinderer would like to know if this mandatory reading post was moved. The link doesnt work anymore
