I did a quick search with no luck. So, maybe someone here knows. Emerson knives are build with hardware that can be easily serviced by the end user. I like the slotted pivot cause a penny is always within arms reach. My question is with the small phillips screws that hold the knives together. Everyone has a phillips driver in a junk drawer or multitool. Trouble is the most common size most people have is phillips #1. The screws are smaller than phillips #1. I even have some drivers that are smaller than 1 and these still don't fit just right. This makes them easy to strip out. You can always tell if a Emerson has been disassembled by these screws. Anyone know what phillips size they are?

I use a Leatherman Skeletool Phillips driver to disassemble my Emersons. The smaller bit size works perfect, and I believe it's the #1

It is a #1. At one point, I went shopping for a #1 size screwdriver at a couple hardware stores. What I discovered was out of the 7 that I tried on my Emerson, 2 were perfect and the others loose fitting. I ended up buying several of the ACE Hardware ones. The fit was better than the Craftsmans that I have. I found Torx drivers vary brand to brand as well.
