does anybody know if there are screws available to replace the hex screws on the tenacious or persistence? do the screws on junk knives fit on them? thanks.

I had the same problem with my tenacious. Stripped every screw head on the knife . The scale screws are supposed to be T6,but mine were hex screws made of some sort of very soft metal. These are made in China so I guess when they ran out of the correct screws ,they used what was on hand. According to spyderco CS they are suppose to be T6 screws. I contacted Charlynn at spyderco and she sent me 6 scale and 3 clip screws that were of the right size.It actually feels like a different knife now that I can tighten everything up!! Pivot screw seems a little soft also but I'll just leave it alone for now.

Never know til you try. Send an email to CS and let them know your problem. I'm sure they'll work something out for you.

I took my tenacious apart and put bamboo scales on it. I think the screws are M2.5x0.45 and M3x0.50 metric threads. Olander's has them and just about an screw you can think of. They used to be a major supplier for the aerospace industry years ago.
