Screws

I just got my second Emerson, a cqc8 and love it but within about two hours the thumb disk got loose and when i tried to tighten it the screw head popped off and with it the disk. I took it back to the dealer i bought it from and he gladly gave me a new one. Later I was taking the clip off and the same thing happened to the middle screw when I tried to loosen it. I was able to get the screw body out after taking the scales off and twisting it out with son needle nose and it holds fine with two screws so not a big deal.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had a problem or is it just bad luck on my part?
I really was not over tightening and the second time I was loosening the screw so I'm fairly sure it was not my doing.

Sounds like someone overtightened them, although that's still extreme the head just breaks off from over tightening.

EKI customer service here Is great, if you send them an email, they will send you anew packet of screws.

contact EKI & they will take care of ya, & no thats not a common problem, IIRC its the 1st time i have heard of that happening............

Had this EXACT same thing happen to my 2010 mini 7, Disc went lose, tightened it and blam, screw head popped off, Can't pull the rest of the screw out of the blade. Haven't gotten around to sending it in, but man, it really sucks. Feel as if I shouldn't have to pay for shipping both ways seeing how it wasn't my fault but ah well..
