What are people using for scrimshaw these days? I'm looking for something natural, not synthetic but something easy to work with. Anyone have any ideas?

Moose antler,cow horn,bone,water buffalo horn (use white for the fill ink),MOP,abalone shell,..... Pretty much anything that can be sanded smooth,and is not porous will work.Of course all the ivories will work.

I hadn't thought of antler as something to scrimshaw. I like the water buffalo horn idea.
