I finally had the honor of commissioning Rick to scrimshaw a Randall, which was a #5-6" that was to be given to my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. The knife itself has the following five chargeable options: stainless steel, two lines of blade etching, nickel silver single hilt, Stag handle, and wrist thong. I asked Rick to scrimshaw the head of a coyote, which turned out great. I also had Greg Gutcher make a special sheath for the knife, which has a rattlesnake inlay and keeper strap.

Below are photos that I took before presenting the knife to my parents:

BTW, my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday. I was there, in South Dakota, along with my (older) brother and (younger) sister. I drove back to California on Friday.

Many thanks to Rick for this. This knife turned into a gift that my parents will treasure for the rest of their lives.

That stag and skin is a nice combination Ken. Very tasteful. The stitches through the belt loop help set it off nicely.

Ken,
The RMK, Sheath and Scrim are a wonderful package ! And best wishes to your parent's on their Anniversary.
