I know Buck has changed their tang stamps several times over the years until became what it is today. Buck has used the SCRIPT stamp for special/custom projects but I can also find photographs in some of the older catalogs (I am lookin at the 1989 catalog as I write this) that shows a SCRIPTED stamp on the EXECUTIVE SERIES (Models 526,507.525) and the 500 SLIMLINE SERIES (Models 505,500,501,503). In the 1988 catalog I can see the SCRIPT on the tang of the CLASSIC SERIES ((Models 510,513, 515) so I don't believe it was "exclusive" to the customs although it certainly was used there.
(Please keep in mind that I use catalog photo's only as a "guide" not as "gospel" due to the fact that Buck would use the same picture several years in a row even though the actual knives had undergone some changes)

I seem to recall someone mentioning that Larry Oden is writing, or has written an article for an upcoming BCCI Newsletter article about Buck Pocketknives. Perhaps he discusses the different tang stamps in his article... Just another reason to join the BCCI! The newsletters are full of usefull, historical, interesting information readily supplied by the people who have studied BUCK far longer than I.
I have a Finger Groove Buck Knife Marked 111 in script lettering .. can't find another one like it om the internet.

Plumber, Thanks, you've given me some good info.. This 111 I picked up today has a mirror polished blade and English script Buck stamp with 3 dots and the banner looks to be more of a satin finish . These were dropped ? sometime and the 111 as we know it with the gracefully curved bolsters came out . It too has since been discontinued in 2008 . Great looking knives . DM
mine has 4 dots and in English script. It has fingertip groove handle

I have my knife inventory listed in a spreadsheet. Last night I was looking for how many 110s I own (three to be exact). While I was searching for those, I see a 111 listed. I didn't even know that I owned one! And I couldn't even remember what a 111 was! I had to look online. I had the date I bought it, description, etc. listed. I even found the order confirmation email from Buck. I ordered it on May 30, 2019. It still was not coming back to me.

Today I was able to dig it up. After seeing it, I vaguely remember ordering it now. I didn't have any pics, so I took some earlier today. [I think I need an intervention for my knife collecting habit!]

For reference, this is what was in my notes: 0111WASLC-B 111 Folding Hunter - Limited Production. The original 111 Folding Hunter® was developed in 2004, made to resemble the 55 because of its radius bolsters. It wasn’t until 2005 when Buck Knives moved to Idaho that it was released. Easily mistaken for the 110, the 111 has the 110 body, with the only difference being the rounded bolsters. This 111 Folding Hunter®’s features a tumbled finished, drop point, 420HC steel blade, and a walnut handle with rounded brass bolsters . Only 81 produced. A black, leather sheath is included. Proudly made in the USA.

I have a 111 finger grove with script writing .. shiny cut blade.

A AlonewithDraGone Pay attention to the age of the posts you quote, both Plumberdv and David Martin are deceased.
There are several variations of the 111 and neither are 'finger grooves". Without a picture I suspect you have a Franken knife with a blade transplant. Really need a picture posted. The 111 blade is identical to the 110 blade and could fit in a 110 FG frame.
