Anybody integrated scythe peening into their hustle yet? I bring a couple of scythes along with me to farmers market mostly for advertising but found that many people have them and want them sharpened luckily I am capable however having a hard time pricing my work because hammer painting a size takes a long time!

I do peen the European blades that I have, but I'm mostly an American scythe user, and those shouldn't be peened. When I do grinding work on American scythe blades I price by the inch of edge length measured in a straight line from heel to toe, with a minimum charge applying to short blades. Pricing out peening could work in a similar manner, though much would depend on the edge condition and the approach you took to the work.
