SE production numbers

Don't think this has been discussed directly in previous threads, sorry if so.

Does anyone have an idea of how many SE's were produced and if roughly the same number of all models in the SE line were produced?

Thanks

I don't recall if an exact number was put out, but Jerry did say they were very limited.

I thought that I once read that twenty-seven of each 2007 SE were being made, but when I went back to re-read those posts, I didn't get the same understanding again.

It seemed like there were around 20 or so of each SE at Blade, with maybe less of the AA.

I would guess only the shop knows how many more were for the Ganza.

I think it depends on how freakin' drunk Jerry was when he gave the production list to Garth. We know it's not one of each, but after that no one knows. JWB always gums these questions up.

One of the things I've learned over the last couple of years is that Busse rarely if ever discloses how many of anything they make...with the extreme exception of one-of-a-kinds.

Any actual numbers presented, unless from a Busse employee, are pure speculation.

In the few years I have been collecting, Jerry has never come out and said exactly how many of anything was ever made. I sort of doubt that will change. Seeing what sold at Blade was one thing, we could count the SEs coming out of the box, but there is no way of doing that with those ordered through the ganza. It could be in the hundreds per model.

What he says.... but I wouldn't say that the SE count on any blade was over 100 and maybe not even close to that. They were just too hard to get, even in the Ganzaaa.

27... 27 of each and if there aren't 27 of each, there ARE 27 of each... Da ya get my drift??? ;);) :p :D:D:D LOL
... At BLADE, Jerry said that there were :foot::foot:... LMAO

Seriously, I'd guess less than 100... More likely 50 or less, and I believe that whatever the number may be for the other 8 blades, there were way fewer SE AA's than the rest.

^That's about what I was thinking. So all things considered, the SE's are perhaps an order of magnitude scarcer than most run-of-the-mill releases, and certainly somewhat scarcer than the more basic overrun knives, like the Miliganza AD and MS.

I'm not trying to break into the green smiley circle of secret knowledge here, just looking for a rough idea of the SE volume.

I have 2 out of 28 EU-17 Magnums.

I think the SOW was supposed to be capped at 48 but I think that has been exceeded.

I don't think there was anything scarce about the Miliganzaa AD and MrS. People who sent their email two days after that 'Ganzaa still got a knife.

Yeah, I agree. They seem to have been more on par with one of the earlier LE runs... like say the original AD. You could have easily gotten one if you struck while the iron was hot, but ultimately there were significantly less produced than the regular crinckles.

As I said, I'm just trying to get a rough idea of how these guys fit into the mix volumetrically. Initially, I was thinking they were going to be uber-limited... like 20 each or so. Then they resurfaced for the 'Ganza, so I started thinking more like 50-100 each.

One difference between these and the earlier LE's is that there were just a lot fewer knives being sold, at least on-line. I mean, there was no BCS and maybe 20 people on here... so there was a broad window of opportunity, but not as many prospective buyers. With the SE's you have a much narrower window of opportunity (Blade + 'Ganza) but many more potential buyers. At least that's my perception.

Bingo, PM. Good memory! :D

There were about 20 of each SE, but only 6 AA's came out from behind the table.

No idea how many more are coming from the recent Ganzaa, or other recent shows.

I would bet there won't be many.
