A buddy talked me into buying an 8 oz. jar the other day, it works great on firearms but I was curious if anyone around here uses it for their blades as well. Curious to hear your stories.

That's very interesting. Based on a little bit of research, it seems that Seal-1 is made by the person that invented Frog Lube. The "features" and application instructions certainly seem almost identical. I wonder if there are any real differences besides the scent and the price?

I've been using Frog Lube on a couple of knives for a short time. It's too soon to say much except that it seems to be working a lot like many other oils. I've read a LOT of postings here from people that use Frog Lube on their knives, particularly ones that might be used for food prep since Frog Lube is food safe. I would expect that Seal 1 is food safe also, but I didn't explicitly see that on the web site when I checked.

Brian.
