The SEAL 2000 is a great knife, but the guard is too small. I had my hand slip forward when using a friend's SEAL 2000 while camping. Is there any chance thay the guard will be enlarged to keep the hand from sliding forward. Also, a plain edged version would be nice, too.

Hi CAman,

Thanks for the kind comments about the SEAL Knife 2000. Regarding the guard, a large crossguard is not always desireable, because they can become a hinderance and get caught/snagged on things. It is a delicate balance between too much and too little guard. Regarding serrations, most knife users are interested in a combo blade (partly straight and partly serrated). Because of this, it is unlikely that we will be adding a straight only blade.

Thanks for the input.

You might want to consider buying a Tigershark.

Seriously.... It comes with a Kraton handle, much less slippery.

Or if you aren't too worried about aethetics, you could either a) use mankind's finest miracle, ducttape!!! or b) grab a file and make the the first fingerhole a bit deeper. I recommend usind a 1/2 round file.
good luck
