Hi
i´am a fan of knives especialy a CRKT and SOG (Crkt for tactical and SOG for fixed). I bought two - a two year ago Mini Pentagon and today Seal Pup. I think a good blades but Pup have too short handle but blade is - sharp as guillotine.

Thanx peoples from sog for nice knives. I bought next time probably SOG SEAL 2000 but in Czech republic is relatively expensive...

Interest - i don´t know it is true but in one czech magazine i read an article and here is wrote the SEAL PUP is in equipment a czech police special force URNA - this is Útvar Rychleho Nasazení (rapid reaction unit) equivalent of US SWAT (yes, and URNA is too in czech Urn ). I´am not policeman but i like a good and quality knives.

Fred, welcome to BladeForums, you are a long way from me, but so close on your likes of knives. :D Glad you like your Seal pup, it is sharp and should perform well for you.

The SOG Seal Revolver may be what you are looking for in terms of handle size. It is a large comfortable finger grooved handle that seems to fit most hand sizes very well. It also has an optional saw located in the handle that will cut wood or bone with ease. There are 3 models to choose from in this series.

Good luck and let us know how you like your new Pup and what you choose
next. Is it easy to find SOG knives where you are located ?

Yes, but this is a tactial and here i preffer CRKT - lowest price and good quality and desing. In czech republic we have too good knives. See, this is UTON vz.75(UTON = útočný nůž = Combat knife in czech) used in our army. in equipment is chanisaw and rasper, blade is from 440. http://www.zbraneonline.cz/noze_noze_mikov_uton.html And is 75% cheaper as this SOG. No,no sog is for me with Ka-bar a synonymous for US combat knife. Not for tactical.

Hi, Im from CZ too, and I should suggest you UTON (www.mikov.cz ... and its shorcut from útočný nůž = assault knife). Its realy heavy duty and well designed knife. Maybe isnt as known as some foreign manufacturers, but its high quality and robustness. (in CZ army it serves like a knife, field shovel, axe, hammer, crowbar, and for many other things too terrible to be written here :D ) Only drawback I see on this knife is that saw and rasper are little bit susceptible to corrosion.
Everytime when our armed forces train with friendly foreign units, UTON is very popular and very asked item for ... ehm ... lets say exchange ;)

PS: For others, if you wana see prices on www.mikov.cz you must unfortunetaly switch into CZ language ...
