I just got my Seal pup elite yesterday and have spent the last day finger molesting this thing. Fit and finish are top notch.I like the zytel handle much better over kraton as I tend to grip the handle pretty hard at times and loosened up the kraton on my srk- which i'll save for a different thread.
I intend to use it as a dive knife which is why I got the tini coated half serated blade which should protect the blade as the coating embeds itself into the steel (per chris from sog). The nylon sheath is perfect for my ruck and holds my power lock in the pouch, but have sent for the kydex sheath for diving. The cut out of the kydex to cut fishing line is an ingenious idea.
The knife itself is awesome. It's perfectly balanced, weighty enough to feel substantial in your hand but would certainly not be an issue carrying all day long out on a hump. I can not belive how razor sharp this malevolent little malestrom is out of the box. SHAVING sharp:eek: :D
Overall you can't beat it for the $. I could buy 3 of these with different blade types and finishes for the price of some of those stryders and tops i've seen.:jerkit:
as long as SOG keeps up the good work I will absolutley keep buying from them. Here is a pic of my new EDC. seal pup elite, powerlock and twitch2.

Its a great knife. Here's my limited edition seal pup with the greenish tint.

Lol j/k, its not a special edition. Dunno how it got there but it looks kinda cool with the greenish tint

I was just wondering, on the sheath that comes with the Elite, how large is the pocket on the front? I mean, is it big enough that I could drop one of my smaller surefires in it?
