I have a seal pup and haven't given it much use I normally carry a stainless rosts mora clipper in the woods (among other things) but am thinking about replacing it with the seal pup I would mostly be using it for food prep/light whittling cord cutting/possibly small gmae and fish prep and gen utility) I know I've made posts similar to this before but I just want to collect some opinions...I ve also heard horrible things about aus-6 edge retention but I've also heard that woth the sog heat treatment that that is not an issue any help would be great thanks

If I can ask, how is your Clipper failing you? Usually, when a person starts thinking of a replacement it's because there's a problem or they've heard of something else performing better.

From what I've seen, the Clipper has a very well-earned reputation as a field knife doing exactly the kind of tasks you describe. If it's a sharpening problem (and for a lot of people it is), maybe these instructions can help. :)

no it hasn't failed me I actually like it quite a bit... it's not fuul tang...and the seal pup feels sturdier other than that I have no complaints I'm while I seem to be happy with my folder and my chopper for woods use I'm having a hard time settling a fixed blade so I wobble back and forth alot, like my wife when tryin to decide what shoes to wear. Thanks for the sharpening link I'm sure that'll be very helpful
