Seal Pup Kydex Sheath Dimensions Needed

Hi,

I am knew here but I found this to be a cool place for folks who like SOG! I have the Flash II, Seal Team, Seal Pup, and the short Machete. So you might be able to tell I like SOG also. I carry the Flash II everywhere I go and have done so for almost 2 years. Love that knife!

Anyway, my reason for joining and posting is I am wondering what the dimensions are of the Seal Pup Kydex Sheath? I searched all over the net and could not find them. I particularly want to know what the width and depth are. Does that make sense? If anyone has one and can measure it for me that would be wonderful.

I am asking because while I like the Nylon sheath a lot, I want to MOD a concealable sheath. I have looked at non-OEM stuff and some custom stuff but everything doesn't seem like it will work or like it will be more than twice the SOG Kydex. I know the SOG one has some issues but Like I said, I want to MOD it anyway so I am sure I can work some of those out. BTW, if anyone has sugestions on how to make the most concealable sheath for the Seal Pup, please lay it on me. I am interested in IWB (vertical and/or Horizontal) and upside down from the shoulder positions.

Thanks to Chris for responding to a PM a while back about this sheath. Because of him I got one and have been very happy with it. As I said above, I wanted to mod it a bit. I cut some of the kydex and other plastic off to make it as small as possible. See the pics comparing it to the nylon sheath it came with, the kydex sheath is much smaller. I also tightened it up so it would not come out (it was a little loose when I got it). Overall, a very good sheath and at great price, especially when compared to custom jobs. I often wear it on a pack strap while hiking using the strap and snap to attach it.
