ive just noticed that on the SOG site it stated the seal pup was in AUS6 whereas b4 it was 440A.

anyone know anything about this?

I got one and I find that there is too much serration. Not enough of a plain edge IMO. Decent price though if you find one on Ebay. But I wouldn't pay full retail for it. Very stain resistant though.

on some of the commercial site it state3d that the seal pup is made from 440 steel and comes with a black nylon sheath.

but on the sog site, it stated that the pup is made from AUS6 and comes standard with a kydex sheath.

did they upgrade or something?

They always have been made of AUS-6. SOG used to market the blades as 440-A for marketing purposes.

Steven Dick wrote about the Pup and said it makes a rgeat small fixed blade around the water.
