Hello to everyone out there. I recently purchased a SOG Seal Pup knife. It seems like a good quality knife, what say you guys. Any input would be much appreciated.

I used one for an entire summer in and out of the water. Swimming, fishing, hunting etc. Good little knife. I just wouldn't go beating it through logs or anything. I passed mine along, wasn't a huge fan of the combo edge.

Welcome to BF!

Opinions shouldnt matter now, as youve already bought it....That being said, ive heard nothing but good things about the Seal Pup, people who own it seem to be very happy with it....now go outside and use your knife, insted of hanging around here! :D

I'll mirror what others have said in that I dislike the combo edge. I also find that if you look at it wrong it will dull. I cant keep it sharp no matter what I try, except not using it. Needless to say I dont use it often.

Let it be said that I am not a fan of SOG, but that knife, and it's bigger brother, are two of the better, if not the best knives that SOG has produced. All said, I'm not a huge fan of the handle, but otherwise, it's a keeper.

My brother and I both own Seal Pup Elites and we love them. He is abused his a lot more than I have mine, but the thing holds up great. I haven't used a Seal Pup as I opted for the Elite due to the AUS 8 Steel vs. the AUS 6. I have heard the 6 is too soft and you will probably dull that knife quicker than the Elite.

I've been using a seel pup ( AUS 6) for a whole weekend in a survival training. I´ve used it for carving, dressing chicken(also cut bones with it) and cut all the other things needed to be cut. It actualy holds an edge pretty well. Great knive for outdoor activities. I also had some issues with the serrations at first but while using the knive I found them pretty useful.
