Hey everyone! I recently finished a custom for a chef based in NY. The blade and sheath set was a pretty interesting custom order!
6-inch Nakiri Specs:
Steel: AEB-L, cryogenically treated and triple tempered
Fittings: Brass bolsters & spacer, mounted on Amboyna burl
Scabbard: Amboyna burl with a black micarta spacer

As requested, I carved in a hammered texture.

Angular handle that sweeps up to help with ergonomics. This way there's ample knuckle clearance, and it puts less strain on the wrist.

Beautiful!....I guess the embellishment on the bolsters is etched?

thanks guys! It's acid etched and already started to patina a bit. The patterns are cultural Filipino motifs I made, putting together motifs I saw on ethnic textile and craft.
