Here are some of my crap pics of a project that was just completed for me. This is a Sean O'Hare sparrow with Mike Norris Crazy Lace stainless damascus, Mike Sakmar ladder pattern mokume gane guard, turkish walnut handle and, with the recommendation of Paul Long, a beautifully done sheath with beaver tail inlay by Claude Scott. This will make a great little carry and I look forward to doing so. 3 1/4 blade and 7 5/8 overall. Thanks for looking,

What stands out to me the most is beavertail inlay. Is that seriously what it is? the pattern is very cool. where does somebody even get that? I have a holster on order for a handgun and was debating biting the bullet now to have it done in tiger shark instead of cowhide, but beavertail would be unique and apparently look awesome.

Oh, knife is really cool too :D

Beautiful knife and mokume guard complements the handle perfectly.......and the sheath seems to grab all the colors from the handle too....

Re: the sheath......I told you guys Claude was getting good and here's the proof! You guys keep him in mind.

Dago Red: Beaver tail may not be the best for the complete outer skin of a holster. The shark you mentioned (or any shark) would be far better in terms of wear and tear. The Beaver tail makes a fine inlay and looks great, but it isn't subjected to the same wear when it is an inlay. (of course it seems to last pretty good on the Beaver:p)
