Brian Turner held a contest in the general forum, for people to get a chance to win their first custom knife (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=163207). The prize was a littlewing that he had bought, made to order, from Sean Perkins in the past. This thread came up a couple weeks after I posted here, and later moved to Knives, wanted to buy, about wanting a neck knife from a custom maker, and I was looking at my options, but found out that I had to pay back a student loan earlier than I had planed. This froze all knife purchase ideas, but then the contest came along :)
I won this great little knife, and it's a better choice than I would have made for my first custom. The blade is about an inch and a half, same approximate shape as the bencmade griptillian tip. Chisel ground, ATS-34 I beleive. The handle portion is ground or buffed in a cool patern that has a neat texture to it. It's such a simple but perfect design. The sheath is a high quality leather one, which carries the knife around the neck, tip down, and theres a lanyard/loop type thing on the handle to pull it out easily. I know if I had picked my first custom I would have picked something as unconventional and unique as I can find, and I would have liked it, but in a novelty sort of way, but this is perfect design and I know I'll always like it. Thanks Brian, and if Sean Perkins is out there, great knife!

About that blade steel; I think most of his knives are made out of A2, so you might want to keep it oiled down for corrosion protection. A2 will rust a lot quicker than ATS34.
