How about this for a SAR 10! I would easily pay 700 dollars for one of these made out of INFI.

What do you think?

Edit: maybe even 800 dollars.

well as long as you dont expect the sheath to be included at that price. It might happen in two weeks;):D

It would be a sweet piece:thumbup:

Im ready for my two martini lunch:)

:D

That kind of knife screams for a Chuddy Bear sheath.
And as for the two martini lunch....hey, calories are calories. Some are just more prone to making people dance.

Looks kinda like a zilla sharpened on the reverse edge. Could be an interesting design, but not very similar to the SAR series. I would like to see a SAR 9,10,11, or even 12 with the already existing handle design though, with 10 probably being the sweet spot.

What are those called again? Parangs? Would be cool. I like seeing Busse's takes on traditional knives.

Point is, though, I can count to much higher than 8--why shouldn't the SAR series? :foot: it'll be great if it goes to 11

Yeah, I think a SARGE 10 with the current handle design would be just about perfect for light machete that could take a small tree down if the need arose. The reason for the Duku Candong style parang design has a lot to do with the environment. The typical cutting duties of a Malaysian parang include cutting green and dried bamboo anywhere from 1-6 inches in diameter. They use the parang like an extension of their hand so they dont have to reach down to pick things up off the jungle floor. Thats when they are most likely to get bitten or stung bu one of the innumerable poisonous monsters in the jungle. That requires a prominent downswept tip to the parang that can be driven into the bamboo on the ground without having to bend over.
Midway through this video is an excellent demonstration of proper technique.

Looks like a Chis Cain survival knife or a lofty Wieseman parang. I used to want one but I figure the B10 will handle anything that would.

Yeah, both of those guys worked together to create their own version of an all purpose survival knife based off traditional designs from Malaysia. I suppose that both the parang and the B10 designs could accomplish just about all of the same things.
