Hey Guys
Looking for some experienced input I am a firefighter and on a recent search and rescue call we found out flashlights to be less than adequate. We have the same right angle lights that you see a lot of first responders carry but they are a little old. We are all set for scene lighting so don't need flood's what I'm looking for is hand held good throwing bright lights. They need to have a charger dock because changing batteries is just not going to get done. I need to be able to pull the light out of the dock use it on a call and put it back till next time a few weeks or even months later. Looking forward to recommendations.
Thanks

Have you checked Pelican ? They have a large collection of emergency lights and they are top quality !

i would ask this question on a more specialized flashlight related forum for more detailed and dedicated responses. im not sure what the rules are for recommending other forums tho.

Yep I will do that but this forum is the one I use and trust most so thought I would see what responses I get

I have a modified nitecore mh20gt that has the reflector bulb and electronics swapped out.

Throws very far and is stupid bright, I think about 1300 lumens.

On night hikes, it is far too powerful so I use the dim setting, there's 5 settings.

Those types of flashlights (fit for dangerous environments) are very expensive. IMO, many flashlight reviews talk more about pros and cons for any particular light which may or may not be replicated across the line (QC and CS wise)... Especially because many of the reviewers are putting a high importance on cost.

With lives depending on a device, department budgets, and longevity factors, I might suggest a brand that has a reputation for quality, quality control, and customer service, over a particular flashlight with certain features. Unfortunately, I don't have any first hand experience in this area.

Surefire. Without a doubt. (LEDmodMan on CandlePowerForums, since 2001)
