What is your intended use? I know you say EDC, but that means many different things to different people. Is it going to be ised on a job site, the outdoors, military or LEO? I think we could help give ideas with more info. But that said... The GSO 4.1 is a great knife if you can find one.

Chiller, I have been on the same hunt for an edc fixed blade. After doing too much research, reading comparative review threads and lots of YouTube.. I decided on the Swamp Rat Rodent Solution.
I wanted a hard use edc, I could do anything with. I also wanted a large (comparative to the smaller blade) handle.
The swamp has a bulletproof no questions asked, no abuse barred, no receipt, transferable lifetime warranty.
I also have loved and been very impressed by the larger fixed blade I have from them.
Mines on order with a 4 month wait. However it's a custom shop build. They may have shorter wait times on off the shelf options.
That's my vote (pics not mine, just random rodent solution)

A few more details would help narrow down the (many) options; but just to throw a few of my favorites out there:
I've got a GWK (Gray Wolf Knives) with a 4" blade of 52100 with a nice thick handle - love it...Unfortunately, he's changed his models, so I'm not sure what compares.
I always recommend the EnZo Trapper in 01
Bark River Bravo 1-LT (thinner blade than the standard Bravo, and 3V)
If you like a smaller handle and less blade height, Bark River Gunny or Fox River.
I'll second the Rodent Solution!
Check out Bailey, BAcustomknives, and dwchildress in the knifemakers area. There are plenty of others there, but those are the ones that routinely catch my eye.

4mm thick and 4" long, wow! thats a heck of EDC blade.

The 162 Bushcrafter by Benchmade would be my choice. I have considered one in the past, and one still tempts me in the display case at a local gunshop. Its just a bigger and heavier blade than I think I need.

Its smidge longer than 4" and is .16" in S30v. It would be a great knife for most any purpose I need.

May I ask how you plan on carrying this? I am curious, I would love to carry a fixed blade more often. Neck carry is the only way I have ever been comfortable doing it around town, but that was a much smaller knife.

I would suggest the ZT 0121. Just over 4in blade, .19 thick, s30v steel.

I'm not sure if you can still find them at retailers. I did see two back to back on the exchange here a few weeks ago though.

I second the idea of having one of the fabulous custom makers around here build one for you.

Chris Reeve Nyala is nice too.

I own this one. It's great! It's my hiking and outdoors blade.

Oh I have no doubt that its great.

I just have a Mora Bushcraft that cost a lot less and does everything I need, just with a lot less panache. :D

No doubt, no doubt. I'm a person who you could almost say NEEDS panache. lol. been trying to get a hold of a bushcraft triflex. discontinued :(
