Search Function Down?

I've been trying to use the search function, and when I click "GO", I get "the page cannot be displayed" error.

It's been this way since the forum broke down not that long ago. Short patterns (one word) work and longer patterns don't. The unfortunate consequence is that some questions need to be reposted because of that (because it's impossible to look up the answers from the last time they popped up).

The search function seems to be pretty limited. Searching a popular topic, like "Benchmade", won't work. If you do a search for something like "Killer Aliens from Mars" though (which most forumites apparently aren't very concerned about), you'll get a response because those words appear infrequently.

Right, you can't search for common words like "knife" or "Benchmade," and you can't search for three-letter words. If you can't figure a way to make the internal search function serve your purpose you can try putting bladeforums.com in the domain field at Google Advanced Search: http://www.google.com/advanced_search?safe=off&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_qdr=all&lr=lang_en&hl=en

The internal search function always works fine for me, though. You just have to choose the right search terms....
