Search help, please

I tried a search for all threads that I have started in the Busse forum. Only returned 49 hits. Tried again, limiting to threads one year old and older. Again, only 49 hits. Is there some search limit with the new software? Or a limiting value that I haven't found to change?

I got 42 hits for threads started by you. Is there something specific you are looking for?

Yes, thanks. Looking for several of the older ones. Been here since 2006, but the search results only went back to 2009. Before the update, the search results went back deeper.

Do an advanced search on Search Single Content Type in Ascending Order (oldest first) and you should pick up a few more.

Well, this is certainly curious.

If I search threads I have started on the Busse forum, one year old and older, in descending order; I get 48 hits from 6/10 back to 2/09.

Same search, ascending order, returns 56 hits, from 9/06 - 9/07.

Can anybody explain why the results are different, and not overlapping?

What about the threads between 9/07 - 2/09?

Why does the search engine not find everything?
