For the last several days I've been trying a 'search' on several terms. Unfortunately, the search seems to pay no attention to the time-frame I want to use. Specifically, I tried a search on "sorg madpoet", searching for all words, all forums, last 5 days. I keep getting back something over 300 hits, streaching back far into last year. Can you fix this, please?

The search feature does seem to be broken, it no longer works when searching by Username as well...

It doesnt seem to be working at all now. It will say page done and show no results and then immediately start searching again. It just keeps searching over and over again and never stops with any results.
 
Ok then, in that case, I'll just disable the search function until it get's fixed.

We're waiting for a version upgrade to do it, and no major announcements have been made yet, so we have to wait.

When will we get search fixed? It seems like the forums lose vitality and visitor interest if we can't search.

Not only does it loose vitality, it spawns repeat threads when you could search and find and bring back a thread.

Spark, could it be a problem since you integrated the delete feature? Would that cause the search function to act up?

It's a bug in the way the files are indexed, the method of which happened to change with version 5.38.

There is a new version coming out pretty soon, so I'll upgrade when it does come out and hopefully that will fix the search problem. In the mean time, we're pretty much stuck.
