I've been on the hunt for a single reputable place that sells a blue Cadet. It seems like an easy task, but it really isn't. Is there something about blue alox that makes it impossible to find?

I'm not even sure if they exist anymore, though I could've sworn I saw a blue Cadet.

I moved this: maybe the multitool guys can help. I just got a blue alox Farmer. Beautiful color.

I got the full set of cadets on the bay. You might want to try there. The other colours aren't bad either. I particularly like the orange ones.

I don't recall ever seeing a blue cadet. At least not in the standard lineup. I think its a mod only color. I think its only standard on the Farmer,at least in the 84mm and 91/93mm sizes. There are people that do mods well, like Scibeer. Or even try Swissbianco,he gets special limited runs that are sanctioned by Victorinox. Sosak online is also a good place to search.

You get the Gunmetal blue/gray Cadet, is that the one you are after? It's quite a different colour to the Blue Farmer. AFAIK the Gunmetal Cadet is still in production but the blue Farmer isn't (it was a limited run). The Farmer can still be found though with a bit of searching.

It's always worth dropping Felinevet a email, as what is on his website isn't all he has.

Swissbianco sounds interesting, and I'll check him out. Gunmetal grey, I just looked up, looks even better! I'll contact felinevets, thank you. I'll also look through the Bladeforums dealers, as I naturally do.

Out of curiosity, what're the dimensions on the farmer? I'm mostly interested in the depth (3-layer, it looks like) and the weight.

Three months ago I picked up a gunmetal cadet at fry's electronics here in CA for $9.90. A month ago I started a new job, I put my cadet in what I thought was a pretty safe spot, about an hour later I came back and it was GONE . After questioning everyone that I new was in the back that day not one person fessed up. So now I'm on a mission as well to find that gunmetal again. Don't try fry's as I have called and was told that model cadet is discontinued, and they have none instock. If you have the chance to pick one up in gunmetal, get it the gunmetal hides scratches easily, as opposed to black or red. That cadet handled anything and everything I could throw at it.

$10!?
That's absolutely insane, I'll be lucky to find it anywhere near that price.
