The details in this thread are all from shadowy memories of a knife I lost over 18 years ago.
I was given a folder when I was around 16 years old. It was a full size folder around 9" oal. I want to say the handle was black micarta with steel bolsters. The bolsters did come down to a 5/8 of a finger finger-guard. The blade was a spear point type blade with a unsharpened spine. The fit and finish of this blade was awesome and there was zero play in the blade when extended, it was built very well. It was a heavier blade as well. After owning it for a couple of years, I walked into The Sharper Image (a mall shop that carries high tech gadgets and gizmos) and in a rotating glass case there was the exact same knife. It had a high polished blade and was stamped with "Tomahawk". It was selling for $100 and this was in 1997. I leant to a friend and never saw it again.
I've searched high and low for this blade. But when searching "tomahawk, folder, knife etc..." on the inter web, I come up with a ton of lower end flea market knives. I've called several Sharper Images and skunked on every call.
I know, the details are very vague and general, but I think the Tomahawk and Sharper Image details could provide the Coup de Grace to my search.
HELP. Thanks, Duder.
