Survival Khukris
Hi guys,
Need y'alls assistance in finding a maker again.
I encountered a handmade khukri a few weeks ago at our local gunshow (I'm in Seattle, the show was in Puyallup.) But this wasn't just any khukri - the maker is apparently from the northern Oregon area, and he specializes in a khukri survival package... Okay, what's different you may ask?
Well, not only does he make the khukri itself, but he also makes the two auxilliary blades (and they are actual blades as opposed to two pieces of steel with little handles put on and stuck in the back of the sheath!) and he makes two other items and tucks them into two little pouches on the front of the traditionally styled sheath - a flint'n'steel combo and a sharpener... And all four auxilliary pieces share the same handle material as the handle on the khukri.
It's my understanding that he makes these as his harduse backcountry survival package and builds them to handle the abuse...
Does anybody recognize this guys work, knows his name.. and maybe even can come up with an address or email?
In advance I thank you all for any help you can give...
And I wish you all the most prosperous Holiday Season!
Peace
