Evening all,
I'm trying to find the maker/model of a knife.
It was a green micarta bullnose,, but wasn't a GEC.
The blade didn't have any markings,, but the makers name stamped(?) right at the handle I believe.
I saw it here,, maybe in the general area but for the life of me cannot find it again!
Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks for the response!
That's not it,, it had no marking on the blade,, more of a traditional bullnose blade shape,, and I remember it being a more obscure (to me) maker.
Definitely not a Case, Queens, or GEC

YES!! that's the one,, thanks so much!
So it was made by GEC,, very interesting.
Thanks all

The Mudbug was also a lockback, unlike the regular GEC Bullnose. Good looking knives from the pics. It looks like they have another run of them planned for February.

I don't like the Mudbug with the lockback so mine currently lives on my woodshed's roof.

Great looking knife.. I'll get on the email list and hope for the best.
Man even the GEC 71 in green micarta is almost impossible to find..

Their website says they have another run scheduled for Feb.

Note that it is on the large 21 pattern, not the smaller 71. So it's a pretty big knife. I love the look of the natural paper Micarta.

The Mudbug is a lockback version of the GEC 21 bullbuster, which is a much larger knife than the bullnose. There was just a run if 71s, in 1095 - there are some orange and nifebrite models still available from retailers. I picked up a black micarta in 1095 out of the recent run, but I love my green linen bullnose in 01 tool steel. Hopefully they do another run in 01 soon.

While both are popular knives, I feel the 71 is a more manageable size and seems to be in a bit higher demand than the 21.

Ah,, good to know. I think the 71 is closer in size to what I wanted. Guess I'll have to go with the Nitebrite until a micarta pops up..
Appreciate the help guys.
