Hello, so I'm new to this forum. I made this thread because I'm interested in your opinions. I'm searching for a smaller and not really expensive folding knife.

So I came a cross this - Kershaw Shuffle. And what I really liked about it, is that it has a bottle opener and I always wanted a knife with one. I'm currently signed into a giveaway, where I made a promise, so I will have to wait almost one month to buy this because it is made in China. But anyways, I want to read your opinions on this knife and maybe you could give some other options.

Thanks.

One...I dunno what even comes in a bottle with a cap anymore :p. Look at the Spyderco Dragonfly 2. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this little masterpiece.

Where I live all beers are with non-spinning caps (if this is the right term). I don't necessarily need to have a knife with a opener, because I know other ways of opening, but I just thought it would be cool.
I would get the Dragonfly, it is just that I'm on a budget and the Spyderco goes around $50 while the Kershaw is like $16-20. The quality is another story... how I said I need a cheaper knife so.. But I may consider waiting a little bit more and gather a bit more money and maybe buy a Spyderco.
Thanks for the reply. :)

I would go for a spyderco tenacious or persistence. Thats what started my addiction to spyderco.

Opinel no. 7- inexpensive, sharp as, versatile, lockable, tried and trusted by many.
If you want a bottle opener on a knife, SAK- millions of happy owners can't all be wrong.

Kershaw Skyline or Spyderco Tenacious would get my vote. They are both great budget friendly knives.

Kershaw Cryo! They just released some blackwash versions and they look slick as hell!

You can even get a tanto Cryo based on Rick Hinderer's Hellfire blade design

Thanks for the opinions and suggestions everybody. I really like the two Spydercos that you suggested, the Dragonfly 2 and the Tenacious. Let's say I gave up on the idea of buying a smaller knife although i really like the Dragonfly. What do you think of the Ontario RAT I and RAT II?

EDIT: Right now I'm in the wondering between Ontario RAT I, II and Spyderco Tenacious.

I don't have any direct experience with them but I don't think you can do wrong with any of those. Personally I love my DF2. More in line with you original suggestion request, you should check out the Spyderco "ClipiTool" line? 3 models with a small PE blade paired with your choice of scissors/bottle opened/serrated blade.

Take a look at the ESEE/BRK Zancudo as well.

Yeah i looked it up, it looks pretty cool, but I may stick with the RAT I. The only think that I don't like about the Ontario is that they used Nylon-6 for the handles.

I've seen these fellas, personally I don't like them, but thanks for the suggestion :)

If you browse around the forum, you are gonna find A LOT of love for the Rat I and II. Ontario makes a solid knife at a great price. No one can deny that. I own an Ontario Utilitac II and that thing is just a beast begging for abuse.

The Rat I is more than a handful. Most people don't realize that it's actually a pretty substantial folder. The Rat II is a little on the small side, yet remains a very capable knife. It's really up to you whether you want more grip and blade or not. And speaking of blade, the Rat's AUS 8 is typically regarded as SLIGHTLY better than the 8Cr13MoV found on the Tenacious.

In regards to the Tenacious, I owned one for a few days then got rid of it. It was built fine. Fit and finish were good for a budget knife, and the blade shape made it a wicked slicer. It just wasn't for me. But practicality is the name of your game, hence the inclusion of the word "budget" in your title. You can get Rats for around 30 bucks if you look around, and the Tenacious goes for 40-50. Again, it's your call. Hope this helps, man!

Your opinion did help me. The more I look at the RAT 1 the more I get in love with it. I really start to like this knife and I watched a Russian breaking the blades of the Tenacious and the RAT and he did a lot more work on the Ontario to achieve his goal. If you want I can edit and paste the video link in here. I think I got convinced to buy the Ontario, except if I see something better for the money, but i doubt.

Awesome, man! Hey, that's what we're here for. We're all borderline obsessed with all things sharp and pointy.
