Reeding a couple or recent threads here, C. Storr's getting engaged and Recondo4U thread selling his knife reminded me of a knife I used to have.

The one in the picture that my lovely bride is holding is a Aftershock Bolo IIRC, any way it is the knife she cut our wedding cake with. I used an Argonne Assault for my groom's cake. Anyway a few years back, times got tough and I had to sell that knife along with a few others.

After thinking about it today I would like to locate it and see about buying it back. I still have the AA but I would like this one as well. Unfortunately I can't remember for the life of me who I sold it to. If I can get it back I am thinking of putting it in a shadowbox with the AA and our wedding pix.

If the current owner could get in contact with me I would like to buy it back.

Thanks,

Nick

No luck with the search. However I did write a post about the knife when I received it. It is #78

scratch that, already answered :D

well, number 8 was passed around a lot. if you're like me and never delete any of your emails - you might want to try searching through your back logs. hotmail provides a "search mail" feature that would allow you to find any references to "aftershock" pretty fast...

you didn't post anything with aftershock in the title on the busse forums (searched through all of them using the awesome archive index: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/archive/index.php/ ), and I'm running through the sale forums now. it looks like I won't find any thread titles containing it though.

so, you either sold it to someone though pm's, on another forum, on ebay, or in person - hading them the knife in return for cash check or money order.

if it was pm's, your stuck with just asking about it on the forums.

if it was on another forum, you can try searching the other forums you frequent.

if it's ebay, your stuck with trying to search your email or looking back through your feedback record to see if you remember who it was that purchased it from you - and then search out that seller.

if it was an in person sale, you can try looking back over your bank statements and looking for the exact amount of the sale (if you remember the sale amount) and see if their is a check associated with it in your account records.

<edit> ya, nothin in the sale forums :(

I would also check jerzeedevil and knifeforums. Even if you did not sell there, the person to whom you sold may hang out in one of those two places. Also put a prominent request in the "wanted to buy" section here. If word gets around, you may get lucky.

Best of luck.
