Hello,

i´m Kunibert and i´m searching for a new fun-flipper...:jerkin:

It should have a full titanium handle, very light to flip(bearings) and should be not to heavy(not the size and weight of a ZT 0560 for example).

Do you have an idea which folder could fit?

Thanks!

ZT 8001
Reate Hills
Cucciara Dorado
Some of the Kizer Knives

At $800, you can get into some full customs but there might be a wait time.

The sky is almost the limit in that price range. Do a bit of browsing on some dealer websites is my advice.

Thanks for your answer!

I own a 0801 and a Kizer yet.
The Reate knives are not so my thing...

I like the size and shape of the Shirogorov 95 very much, but these knifes are more expensive then full custom knives...:(

I would suggest the next performance series offering by Brad Southard at Southard Knives. He just sold the Tolk in that series which is a 3.9" full titanium folder that weighs in at only 4.7 ounces. If you want a fun flipper, I don't think you'll find much smoother flipping action than one of Brad's folders.

The Southard Avo is a very good tip! Such a knife i´m searching for!

Unfortunately the Avo is sold out. Do you know if it will be available soon?

Brad should be having another drawing soon for the AVO's again. according to his Facebook ;) Check his website and sign up on his page or Facebook page. You can also "pre-order" his new model the "Tolk" on his website. Or just keep checking in here, I have seen quite a few AVO's up for sale recently.

The Tolk is sold out now. Next is the Avo and I believe a smaller version of the Tolk is supposed to follow.

Oh and the "Reate Knives Horizon-A" is pretty much the exact same size and weight of the ZT-0560 and in full titanium :D

The Reate A is to big. I had one here...
Also i didn´t like the shape of the knife.

The Tolk and the Avo seem to be sold out :(

I have the Brad Southard AVO which is very light, very strong, 0.140 blade thickness (same as newer Sebbies and Umnumzaan).
Hard to find in stock right now, but quite a few on the Exchange. Expect around $500+
Specs:
-Overall Length: 7 3/4 in
-Blade Length: 3.33 in
-Blade Thickness: .138
-Weight: 4.1 oz.
-Blade Steal: CTS B75P
-Handle: Titanium

Here is a pic with a large CRK Sebenza. It's a bit smaller than the SEbbie, which is fine.

He is planning on doing another lottery of the Avo very soon where you will have a chance to win one of 75. I would simply subscribe to his newsletter at his site to be notified when it happens. There were over 1000 people signed up for the lottery last time with 100 being sold.

Did you weigh the Avo yourself Sonny? Brad lists it at 5 ounces on his site. I believe he "skeletonized" the Tolk to lighten it. I'm not sure if he did the same with the Avo.

Thanks for the comparison-picture!

I have to say that the shape of the blade is a little bit "boring". It is similar to the blade of a Victorinox swiss army pocket knife...

Perhaps the Tolk-blade is a little bit more interesting?

It's hard to beat the flippers made by Ray Laconico. Incredible flipper action, outstanding work. Tough to find, though.

XM 18 and find a ti scale.

BTW, where are you located? Some options may not be easily obtained where you are.

I live in Germany.

Is the XM18 now available with bearings?
I had a XM18 about a half year ago and it was a terrible flipper :(

I will check the other knives now...
