Folks,

Anyone know if our friends at Buck made a 110 that was sold under the Sears Craftsman brand. I made a flea market purchase, the knife has the Craftsman brand name printed on the blade. It has the Sears name and model number 95206 on the Tang stamp. Dimensions look identical to a 110, the only differences I might detect is that the handle rivets may sit a little more proud, and there is a slight radius on the bottom back of the handle slabs. Otherwise looks exactly like a 110.

thanks,

I do not think it is a Buck. Sears had some Buck look a likes made in the 80's and 90's.

To be honest I am not sure but I think they were made in Japan under by a company named Klien tool.

Someone with more info will be along to better help you.

Schrade and Camillus made knives for Sears that are very similar to a Buck 110, but Buck didn't.

Schrade's was a copy of their LB7 and Camillus' was a copy of their #9.

I just got mine out and looked at them, and from your picture, I think yours is a Camillus made one.

Chris,

Thanks, I think you nailed it.

I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

thanks again,

When Buck came out w/ the design of their 110 sometime in 1962.There were others offering similar styles at that time. So, as mfg goes they could not patent it.I'm glad we have it.DM

The 110 has to be one of the most-imitated knives ever made... a high compliment. I haven't seen any that even come close to Buck's fit, finish and quality tho'.

I know this is an older post but....I picked up the 95233 yesterday at a yard sale. Looks brand new. Got it with it's leather sheath for a whopping two bucks. I gather it was made by Camillus, but any way to tell when? What's it worth???

I finally took some pictures of the 110 with 4 different Craftsman locking backs. http://edbeau.multiply.com/photos/album/8/Buck_110_and_Craftsman_LB#1 http://edbeau.multiply.com/photos/album/8/Buck_110_and_Craftsman_LB#2 http://edbeau.multiply.com/photos/album/8/Buck_110_and_Craftsman_LB#3 Earlier post has who made the 95206 and the 95233. Don't know about the two 94609s.

Those are certainly the best copies/wannabees I've seen. I do not like the position or spacing of the rocker in reference to the front inlay rivot.

BTW ct, never too old of a post to continue taliking about. and welcome.
As far as worth, more than 2 bucks for sure...good pick up. Next stop....Buck fever:D
