Sears Craftsman Belt/Disc Sander Question

I have a speed controller to use with my router and it says, do not use with a brushless motor.
Does anyone know if the motor for the Craftsman #21513, 2" x 42" belt/disc sander is a Brushless type or not?

It is brushless,the speed controller won't work.

From what I've read, this has been covered many times. The only real way to slow down the craftsman is to attach a pulley in place of the sanding disc plate and run that pulley with a separate motor, not using the craftsman motor at all.

Trying to use speed controllers won't work because you also lose power.
