I was looking at a good condition vintage Sears wet sharp machine, does anyone have one and provide some feedback? It should create a hollow grind edge. I wonder of the stone wheel is replaceable or if wears quickly, and what about ease of use. It looks pretty easy to use. For about 30 bucks I think it may be a handy machine to have around.

Given that all of the stones on the ones on eBay seem to be in good shape I'd say you probably don't have to worry too much about running through the wheel too quick. I'd just ask yourself if the machine looks like the kind of design that meets your needs. A brand new WEN 8" Tormek clone is only about $100 at the moment so just keep that in mind in thinking about which gives you the best balanced answer to your wet grinding needs.

I remember reading in popular mechanics in the 80s that they gave it a poor review. That is why my Dad and I didn't buy it back then.

I’m not going for it I’ll just get worksharp blade grinder attachment for my Gen 1 KO
