Seat Covers and floor mats for truck

I got a new truck and looking to keep it in shape. (2015 Nissan Frontier) I had weather tech floor pans in my Ranger and 13 years later the only thing on the poor truck that looked good was the carpeting! I'll probably get the new ones although they are pretty expensive.

Also, looking at seat covers. I eat in the car :grumpy: shouldn't but I do. My dog rides with me a lot and slobbers and doesn't wiper her feet before jumping in. I don't know anything about seat covers, so school me. I was also looking at a "pet hammock" which would keep the back seat clean and stop the dog from falling into the footwell if I stopped suddenly.

Thanks as always

Look at cover king neosupreme seat covers. It's hard to tell they are not sewn to the seat. I have them in my 15' F150

Get yourself some WeatherTech floor mats, they are pretty awesome and guaranteed to fit.

Weathertech floor mats are excellent but what I usually do is work a set of factory all weather floor mats into the purchase of my new truck. When it gets to part where the deal is almost settled and they want me to sign I tell them I'll sign if you throw in the all weather floor mats. It's worked for me every time so far lol. For seat covers there are several good brands out there but the only one I've had any experience with are Wet Okole and they are very nice and fit like a glove. They are made out of wet suit type material. My dad just got some made out of more of a canvas material almost like Carhart pants but I'm not sure what brand it is. Fits good though and is very tough stuff. I'll ask him what brand it is.

They are good. I have a different brand thick rubber one in the rear floor of my expended cab. Still waiting on a good deal for a set for the front. Right now I have cheap shallow rubber auto parts store type in the front. I like mats that will contain spills, melting snow and mud from shoes, so deep. And they need not be formed "trays" like the weathertech. I don't use seat covers (my trucks are older used when I get them), but he saddle blanket covers work for the dog, easily removable for cleaning and give paws some traction.

Weathertech makes good fitted mats, but I've had better luck with the Husky Weatherbeater mats. The Husky mats stay in place, but the weathertech ones move all over the place. I had a set of the weathertech in my 2010 Tundra and the diver side was held in place by the factory hooks, but the passenger side had nothing to hold it down and the bottom was smooth, so it moved a lot. I put Husky mats in my 2012 Tundra and they stay very well. The bottom of them have little nubs that grip the carpet. I just put another set in my girlfriends Camry and will be putting them in any future vehicles as well.

I'm going to have to look into the Husky mats, we need something for the SUV.

They are really nice. This isn't knife related, so hopefully it's OK to tell you to check a website called autoanything. They have good pricing and regularly have 20% off codes as well. I've used them quite a few times.

I use Weathertech mats and have a heavy duty hammock for the rear seat with the puppy. I like it a lot. Easy to remove and clean and the seat is well protected.

Where did you get the hammock\what brand is it? Thanks.

WeatherTech are by far the best floor mats I've ever had. I live about 30minutes from there headquarters & everytime I get a new car I bite the bullet & buy a set. They are expensive but well worth it. Chicago winters get pretty nasty & these mats protect my carpets quite well. Only dislike I have is with all the snow that comes off my boots I'll start to get a decent puddle building up & it can get the back of your pant legs wet. The fix has been just throwing a rag down to absorb the water & swap it out once in awhile.

WeatherTech has new fasteners for the passenger floors that don't have any factory ones. You just push them into the carpet a little & they grab onto it. My SUV has factory tabs on both sides that the mats snap onto. But I have a 2015 Silverado that didn't have any hooks on passenger side & the WeatherTech fasteners have worked great so far & don't move around at all. Easy to install & uninstall to.
